Mee wasn’t all that clever at the start of last season. Kept his place. Ben Gibson was brought here as a first teamer, I’m absolutely convinced of that. No way on this planet have BFC paid double figure millions for a squad player/bench warmer. Not a chance in hell. ssssshhhhh dont say that on here...

Re: Mee and Tarks
Just to be absolutely clear, not a single one if the 5 goals we conceded on Saturday came from Spurs slicing through our midfield. Not one. The theme, if there is one, is teams going round or over our midfield, primarily by exploiting the fact our wide midfielders (particularly McNeil) are less sec...

Isn't the issue that, by going towards a forward who is running at you at pace, you commit yourself and therefore make yourself more vulnerable to being skinned/having a ball played beyond you? had no problem with the principle of Bardsley back-peddling against Palace/Zaha and City/Jesus, nor Tarks...

I'm not sure if this is due to our financial limits, but he does seem to prefer people who will put a shift in, over someone who may not work to 100% every game, but simply has far more technical ability than we currently have. IMO this is something we are severely lacking. More technical players. ...

First rule of defending is to close the space down.
How many more goals do we have to give away before they start closing the attackers down

Couple of myths being exposed: 1. Burnley are a physical side - Barnes and Wood aside, genuine athleticism is one of the weakest aspects of our team. We need some pace and power, quite badly. 2. Burnley are a solid defensive side - Only the bottom 3 have conceded more than us this season. Oh and He...

And Nick Pope was MoM at Watford where we won 0-3. I can't fault Nick for City's first, second or third - and place the ball beyond the keeper as City's 4th and that will also always be a goal. Just because you were mom for a game 2 weeks prior does not mean you cant be critical for another game

He seems to have a weakness with low shots right next to him. In choosing to get his hands down there instead of his feet. It's understandable being 6 foot 6 and a long way to get down. He used his feet for those sort of shots against City so he's obviously realised this and worked on it in trainin...

Re: Matej Vydra
This is why the ideal replacement for Vydra is not a striker at all, but a wide player to effectively replace Lennon in the squad - i.e. a natural right winger who offers an alternative option to our 3 left footed wingers - who can also operate through the middle. Equivalent would be someone like C...
