I don't think I've seen a Burnley side ever play as well as they did today in that first half. We were brilliant. We were good but by Christ they were poor. Pope is a much better keeper but Muric better suits this team. Just a shame we let Pope go for so much less than he’s worth.

How many home tickets have sold, do we know? If the stadium map is accurate it would appear not that many. What’s wrong with everyone? With our lead in the league we can afford to give the Cup a real go. We’ve got two League 1 clubs to overcome and we’re in the quarter final - one win from Wembley....

On the basis that most of them won’t want to go anyway because they know they’ll get humped - especially if there’s a chance that we could secure promotion at their place - I think they should swap the whole thing round. I.e. they take the Darwen End and we get the rest of the ground.

Don’t understand. First Nixon said it was a loan, then he says it was a £10m transfer, which itself raise a few questions, like where have Rovers suddenly got that kind of money from, and why are Forest letting him go if he’s that good. Two single moments spring to mind. The first is Ashley Barnes’s goal v Wigan - starts with apass out from Heaton, involves 9 players, only one of whom touches it more than once, and a fantastic finish. It doesn’t look likely to happen on the pitch. How about a 30 point deduction for financial irregularities??!!
