Yeah, I've met those types too, but I think you're being rather naive if you believe everyone on here is being genuine. I've no idea who the professional footballer is either. They must be or must have once been a great athlete though if their marathon times are accurate 🤔 Hardly unbelievable. I ca...

Is it just me or are there one or two claims on here that sound like complete BS? 🤔 Can you quote any? I can’t see anything too outrageous. It’s not like those old blokes you meet in Wetherspoons. The type that are there at 10am and they want to talk to anyone. Usually get on to the subject of how ...

Beating tybfc and flixton 10 & 8 at the CM golf day with Mr Wynne… Scoring back-to-back 180s A break of 33 in snooker My best though is probably running half a marathon in 1:26:30. If you’d have told me I’d do that a decade ago, I’d have laughed you out of town. Definitely didn’t beat anyone at gol...

Mine are:
scoring a goal on the turf (old school clarets mad game, think I basically did a Nugent for England goal and stole it from Marv)
3rd at Skiddaw Fell race
10th, but just finishing was enough, at the fellsman 61mile ultra

Since having kids we tend to stay at whatever hotel we can get for a decent price in summer holidays, and spend as little time there as possible. I think most town fans will be happy for a period of stabilisation after the sale, and resale of the club.
Colin will hopefully give them a year where they can overhaul the squad. They have some bloody awful players

Did a nice easy family walk of 4.5 miles on Thursday. Starting in Kettlewell we walked to Starbottom via the dales way and then a quick pint in the fox and hound followed by the walk back to Kettlewell via the river path. My 6 year old managed it but i had to carry my 4 year old for over half of it....

For a short walk the Malham, Janet’s foss, Gordale scar, Malham tarn, Malham cove route is a cracker For something longer I like the Wharfedale 3 peaks which starts in Kettlewell and takes in great whernside, buckden pike, and then Birks fell. Can be done in either direction. A lot less busy than th...

I quite like cov. Fans I’ve met have all been sound and have that sense of humour you developed through a few years of utter shite football. I credit the owners for the VK appointment. I like a lot of what these owners have done. Pace seems to be dragging various departments into the modern age, and a lot of people have moved on proving people don’t like change, but no one we have lost seem a great loss. I’m still and never will be happy...

Kompany was a gamble. He had done a decent job in Belgium but he hadn’t pulled up any trees. He certainly hadn’t shown enough to suggest just how good he is. Now I suspect he interviews well so the board would have been impressed by him, but I also suspect Coyle interviews well, and he keeps on fail...

I listened to it in full today. Thought it was very good. Strange that a Burnley podcast is being done by people who don’t have season tickets (apart from greavsy?) but I suppose it doesn’t really matter as you can watch the games online. I didn’t think they were overly negative about Pace. Similar ...

In my time watching Burnley (since 1993) we have only had 2 properly bad managers. Waddle and Laws. And i felt Laws was always on to a loser but it was a poor appointment Thats not bad though in 30 years to have had only 2 bad managers! There is a massive degree of luck but i also think the Kilby bo...

The sooner we get rid of the Big 6 the better. Let them go and play each other every week. The rest of us would be left with a much more competitive League (with the top 6 of the Championship brought in). Obviously, the TV money would go down. All this would mean is players would have to get by on,...

I suggested a while ago we would move back to a betting company when we go up. Some on here were very confident that Pace wouldnt allow that to happen, given his faiths objections to gambling.

I think VK is proving that an academy at a club like ours, surrounded by academy giants, is pretty pointless. Better off buying young cheap players and selling them on later down the line. The club haven’t produced a youth player at the standard we need since Jay Rod. This season we could probably q...
