Re: Exit at last 16 is a failure
I hope we beat Germany. Out it this way, Burnley are rightly regarded as successful by remaining in the prem, even though we lack goals and we have to scrap for a win. What if we continued like this but we managed to sign, Kane, Stirling, Mount, Saca, Foden and Grealish, would it still be regarded a...

Re: Exit at last 16 is a failure
Only on a Burnley forum could you find someone labelling the team a failure 5days before they play :D The question was IF we exit the competition in 5 days time, will it be a failure. So far, given the players at Southgate disposal, looking at the quality of the opposition and our performances, Eng...

Re: Exit at last 16 is a failure
So England are being criticising for winning their group and being drawn against one of the favourites for the tournament in the last 16? Nonsensical. Not nonsensical, Southgate has been given a group of the most talented players we have had since the 1960s.They are capable of attacking with pace s...

A back four of Walker Stones Maguire and Shaw with Rice/Hendo (or Bellingham) in front is actually quite solid on paper. Maguire has been excellent for United this year and we will miss him a lot if he doesn’t make it. It looks that way, but when they do play with the 2 holding midfielders they are...

Re: If you have to answer your own threads
You tend to get more replies if your post is controversial, or as the OP says complete rubbish. For example, if I was to say Dwight McMeil is a good player and makes a big contribution to the team, it would get less replies than if I was to say he's too one footed and overrated. It's the nature of t...

Talking loud but saying nothing. Made me think it was the sort of thing a politician would draft. That's the norm for SD. He has said that the most important thing is to keep Burnley in the Prem. To do that we need to start winning games. Wolves tomorrow is more immediately critical than a super le...

Our 2 chances to avoid a relegation scrap, was to collect points against Southampton and Newcastle, and or hope Fulham will find there run in too tough. We failed on the first and as I post this Fulham are winning at Arsenal.

It always amuses me when I read the reaction to SD interviews and to SD in general. When we win, he's great, lucky to have him, when we lose he talks rubbish, although he always says the same things. Great comment and interesting that this is the most liked comment on the thread. The most silly comment on the thread. The "again' comment is not callous, it's a fact. My concern is that Cork and Barnes won't return, there is a very high chance that both Brady and JBG will return with an injury. We will then be worse off than before the break. We need a full squad for the next 2/3 games to ensure safety
