Re: Where has the 100m gone
Many of the new signings do not have the experience at Premier league level or the physicality. A few years back they would have only been signed for a fraction of what we paid and either sent out on loan or under 21s to get experience and hardened up. Its incredible that we have brought these in to...

We need to stop rewarding failure and have the guts to drop most of this team and replace with those that gave us the success last season. I am wondering whether VK is nervous about dropping the players who he has brought in for all the millions invested by the board. We need experience and bodies i...

I was raised in Barrowford (Nelson) and my wife comes from Burnley. Even though Barrowford is only 5 miles from Burnley she would come out with alsorts of phrases I had never heard before, such as; "I'm agate". The Barrowford accent was closer to Yorkshire.

Surely if this is correct, and I have idea if it is or not, then they should be expecting a points reduction as well as remuneration to clubs that were affected by this cheating. Last year I bought some walking boots from Go Outdoors in Manchester. I usually take a size 9. The store has advisor's plus inclined walking test platforms, etc. to help get the correct fit. I ended up with size 11s. Size 11s!! So I will not be criticising anyone for their feet.

Used to watch Alan West during the pre match warm up, doing fancy ball tricks. Wondered at the time if we had missed a trick by not keeping him. But this was Burnley, we had to sell players. Worse to come later with the sales of Dobson, Nulty and James.

When we break the press we do look good but this persistent fannying around with the back four and goalkeeper until we lose possession is dreadful. I remember watching it on match of the day. Collins played on with a swollen eye socket and Jimmy Hill made a prat of himself. Not for the first; remember him blaming a ball boy once for not returning the ball quick enough.
Was a good win though.

I remember that game. Dobson was outstanding.
I also remember the Sunday Mirror report using the old joke where Paul Fletcher sees Joe Corrigan after the game and nods at him, Corrigan is so traumatised he automatically dives into the gutter.
