Just keep it simple - interfering with play is a nonsense and only makes the job of officials more difficult. If you’re off, you’re off. Same with the long wait to blow for a decision. There are too many times when it’s left too long and runs the risk of injury to a player. Re - injuries - surprise...

Sorry - just had a quick look at WIki for the 1996 Anglo-Italian Cup - only eight teams entered from England and eight from Italy. Port Vale lost in the final to Genoa at Wembley. That would have been a class day out.

Been reading about some of these nonsense tournaments and cups that came in when English teams got banned from Europe. We didn’t seem to take part in the football league centenary tournament at Wembley and nor did we play in the Full Members Trophy. However, did we ever play in the Anglo-Italian cup?

Agree with above. The club website was pretty much unusuable at one point so the only place to go for news was 'the other place'. I still don't use the club's website unless ordering tickets.
