Re: REPORT: The home defeats keep coming
The slight issue with your view is that it renders any success in the Championship rather pointless too. Surely Brighton and Brentford are good models for us. Able to have enjoyable seasons and stick it to the big boys whilst thriving with talented players spotted through clever scouting. And sure,...

He only gave the second because he knew he should have given the first. When you look at the United pen yesterday which was near identical, it shows what a bad decision our first one was.

Re: Burnley v West Ham - Player Ratings
Yet by a number of the comments a lot of people obviously don’t know that’s our tactic. I thought we were pretty seamless at playing out from Trafford yesterday - certainly the most effective and error-free we’ve been so far this season. In fact, had the game ended in the 86th minute I’m sure we’d ...

Isn’t that just the Premier League though? I think I stopped enjoying being in it the season we were in Europe. I was willing to buy the idea that our dominance last season might make this one more than just the typical newly promoted side’s relegation scrap, but that was extinguished pretty quickl...

You'd have to have not watched us for 18 months to not know that's our tactic. There were plenty of times where it worked brilliantly yesterday but there were times when he was put under pressure, not by the crowd but by taking too long so that most of the outfall were cut off. As with Muric last se...

Another name to add to the pile of woefully out of their depth, zero understanding of the game referees you get at this level. This guy had the the standard inability to know how to play advantage and not giving the first penalty shout, especially given where he's stood, is just rank bad.

A tough one to take as this was probably as well as we've played this season, with some very good performances through the team. Naivety from players but mainly from the manager has cost us, with too many subs and the wrong ones to boot. Trafford - 5 S. L. O. W. Didn't have much to do with his hands...

Impressive straw clutching from the solicitor. Mind you, I read an article by the esk in the guardian earlier proclaiming that the non-punishment Everton have received for cheating is somehow harsh on them.

An absolute non-punishment. If clubs cheat, relegate them. Dead simple. Expect City to be awarded some points if their day of reckoning ever comes, that's how toothless the people in charge are.

Nope. It's a barometer of how each of those managers did at different clubs in different circumstances, and has no relevance whatsoever to how valuable an asset Kompany is to Burnley.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 5:38 amIt’s a barometer of his value as an asset.

Think the big problem isn't having some patience with all the new wide players, it's looking at the situation that with so many of them realistically not all of them are even going to get a proper chance and we've spent so much on them. I'm a bit behind the times these days, but I thought a genuine attempt to play the ball (Romero's red card) was a yellow card and a penalty, not a red card and penalty. Awful 1st half and might as well have not been on the pitch in the 2nd. He's new to the country, the club and the league, and it's a steep learning curve at this level. Didn't look like he knew where he was playing today.
He does show some good touches though, going to need time.
