Re: Half time entertainment v Arsenal

A few references to non-league here, but honestly that's what we should aspire to at half time. You can easily get warm food and a pint without queueing for 20 minutes. You can check the scores. You can talk to your mates / family. It's actually enjoyable.

Just recreate that on a much bigger scale.

Re: Is Relegation such a bad thing really?

There isn't an option to consistently be a top 6 championship club. You either get promoted or you get worse. Unfortunately, that's true. You get maybe a couple of seasons at most, from then on you're fighting against League One while juggling debts if you're a club of our size. We got a bit lucky ...

Re: Are poor coaching techniques at fault

It was quite often a nervy watch last season every time we conceded a set piece.. particularly at Bramhall Lane. We got away with it partly because we had so much possession and also Muric to his credit improved noticeably over the season. This season it's been ruthlessly exposed. We have less posse...

Always hard to know if you’re really ‘falling out of love with football’ or we’re just having a bad season. Not many people are saying this when we’re winning the Championship. That said, even last season, although it gave me some of the very best moments following Burnley, i still found myself look...

Yeah, all the ones mentioned like Wright, Cole and Heath really showed the sobering difference in levels as they could still look a class above as they neared retirement and dropped down the leagues. Surprisingly, we did actually beat them at home in 86/87 when they won the league easily. A win which later turned out to deny them a 100 pts total and was also a fairly important 3 points for us in the end.

I hope not, it's a shame to see him where he is now. However, it's more likely he's close to bankruptcy, everyone needs to do something to pay the bills and once the League One / Two manager jobs dried up, I guess this is his chosen path.
