Re: Frequently used ‘modern day’ football terminology

I miss the days of the commentator yelling out ‘it’s there!’ As the ball hits the net.

I’ve mentioned it before l, but I really get annoyed by fans these days calling players by their first names as if they are a mate or family member.

It certainly has its critics, including myself, but those two decisions in the closing minutes at home and the one away when they got a penalty were the reasons I was originally massively in favour of VAR as two of them (the penalty wouldn’t have been overturned) would have not been allowed and we’d...

I like Matt Williams. Just wondering why he's now the defacto spokesperson for the club? Seem to only hear from Pace when we get a win, radio silence when we're getting panned. Are we talking about the same Alan Pace who puts himself in the firing line most home games by mingling with the fans outs...

Lost their key game with Newcastle 3-0 today. I took my daughter for the first time and it was a very even game until Newcastle got their second which came from an indirect free kick given for a non-existant back pass.

Decent crowd backed by a large number of Geordies!

Nothing unusual about kits being reduced at this time of the season. Lots of Premier League teams have reduced theirs before we have. The unusual thing was last season’s remaining at full price as long as it did.
