I think one thing is for certain we will be signing a left back better than Maatsen was as the start of last season. The bar has obviously risen now in the premier league and therefore a good chance he will also be better than Maatsen is now.

Key position is this , if Maatsen doesn’t sign we need a big hitter in this position the way VK likes to play. I am sure our manager will have the right choice lined up.

Interesting that on the club announcement he is quoted if I am reading it right that there has been dialogue with him during the last two months.

Certainly seems that he has been a priority, great that it has been kept so quiet until virtually at the end.

They shouldn’t be able to gain an advantage by the postponement, if they had been told they would have to play on a neutral ground if theirs wasn’t ready they may have got it sorted quicker.

I would be , but ideally prefer another CH with more physicality than THB, I think VK does too hence his preference for the player from Dortmund.

THB was brilliant for us , but for big money and supposed potential I don’t think showed the command and strength that Cahill and Collins did for us.

I understand Burnley were quite happy to switch to a mid week game because it would be easier for them to cope with managing the new loyalty points system with a mid week game at Luton 🤷‍♂️

I think what’s still encouraging about Trafford , even though it’s gone quiet, is that we are not linked with any other keepers at the moment,we can just hope in the meantime that doesn’t change.
