Re: Water meter
Many thanks for all the responses. On the basis that there are only 2 of us in a 3/4 bedroom house, it seems reasonable to assume that we could save a few hundred pounds per year, which is good. However, against that, there seems to be probably 3 issues - 1) the high cost if I have leak (especially...

It’s a no brainer to have one installed for free, with an opt out if you don’t see a benefit.
Aside from more easily detecting leaks, through metered usage, it’s pretty likely that you’ll make decent savings, when compared to your RV.
They are compulsory in new houses, now.

Sorry if mentioned elsewhere. We don't know whether this true. If we were to loan him out then I would struggle to understand it. https://southwarknews.co.uk/sport/football/millwall/millwall-michael-obafemi-transfer/ It’s one that makes perfect sense to me. Regarding the gap, I still think that a half decent team coming up from the Championship has a pretty decent chance of survival. Had we spent in the right areas, I’m confident that we’d have comfortably stayed up. The thing with the Premier League (and it may not always be the case) is that there ar...

Does the tv work from an aerial or from broadband? We have no TV signal so I'm reliant on a Sky dish. I probably wouldn't like to think I was relying on my broadband signal, though I do use it for general streaming of Netflix etc. (Sorry, I was meant to quote Boss Hogg there). That would be via int...

One way around it would be to be good at set pieces. It really is criminal that we're so bad at them as a team fighting for our lives. They are the moments where the wages discrepancies and quality of player is nullified, yet we've made a mess of them all season. We got so many cheap goals that way...

Re: January transfer window rumours.
Because a modern fullback should do more than just defend. Make some overlaps. Play a good cross in. Don't see him in our squad. And by the looks of it not happening soon. Missed opportunity. I’m not against another left back, we need two decent options. If it was possible, and Taylor is OK playing...

Yes banks just fall over & are happy to refund customers when they are being scammed & don't have any mechanisms in place to protect the customer & themselves from fraud. Are you talking about a section 75? This, as far as I understand it, isn’t actually a refund, but a ‘clawback’ from the seller, ...

This feels very much like the majority of our summer business. Hopefully I’m wrong, but based on the summer business, I find it a little...

There was a strong hint of sarcasm in my post which understandably got lost Yes, blatantly. Whilst with us though, Maatsen was 100% committed and the sort of player that we as fans can get behind. It’s ridiculous to suggest VK and the recruitment team don’t do any research on the player’s character and background. It’s a lot easier to check a player’s background if they have played at Stoke or Brighton until they are 30. Which in part was probably why a lot of our recruitment was players fro...

Hmm. I agree some of the new signing haven’t worked out but not sure about this argument. In terms of the character, you’d probably put Brownhill as the kind you’re alluding to, yet he was one of the worst players on the pitch tonight. I think things are just amplified because we’ve not being good ...

Looking at most of our signings from the summer, I can’t help but wonder how much focus we actually placed on the character of those players. Under Dyche, it was well known that we profiled players backgrounds, their characters, personalities, and assessed how well they’d work with the group already...

A truly frustrating player - bags of talent but all too often he over plays, picks the wrong option, over hits a pass, under hits a pass or whatever he tries doesn’t come off. I thought we were passive in general, just allowed them to have the ball. I didn’t expect much from Cullen and Brownhill and I wasn’t disappointed on that front. I don’t mind if we are successful at turning over players. It’s hardly a huge leap from us always being a selling club. What I would say is that for such a practice to be successful (aside from the obvious) having a small core group of players with longevity at the club is important. They will chang...

A cup run is the last thing we needed - half decent display in parts and a world away from the horror show against them at home.
Focus on the league and take the positives. Some great individual displays as well, particularly O’Shea.
