I was at the game as a Nelson supporter. I think, from memory, Steve got 90 odd and Viv a ton. We don't get crowds like that any more. Excellent.

I don't think Clitheroe will be in the top 3 of overall spenders in the league to be fair. No idea if Darwen flash the cash. Maybe it's just time to admit that other local cricket is as good or better than the Lance league? I was told by a Darwen official that the bulk of their team have been there...

I was always led to believe that 4 mph was average walking speed and I'm often being told that I walk fast, especially by Mrs ES, but I couldn't maintain it uphill. Good app though. Thanks and thanks Tony for the help. Hope it works.

I walk every day. Normally for between an hour and half and two hours during the week.An hour of that is uphill. I walk briskly and estimate my distance to be between 6 and 7 miles. I haven't found an app that I like so far and would welcome any suggestions. At weekends I normally walk for an hour. ...

Worsley Cup

Been watching Nelson all my life. Today I witnessed the best innings in my lifetime. Devon Conway made 231 not out in Nelson's total of 354. The highest innings by any Nelson batsman in history and the highest ever by any batsman in the Worsley cup. And the sun shone. A great weekend all round.

Booked Holiday Inn, Swansea East, which it says is 4 miles out. Free cancellation so no probs and a good deal. A lot of the other hotels just have doubles. Now for the trains.
