Re: Eddie Howe in Newcastle talks
This smacks of desperation to me; their prime player target not interested and the their prime managerial target not interested either. Perhaps Newcastle is now a toxic brand and no one wants to be associated with it. I know money talks but maybe tainted money doesn’t speak loud enough.

If I'm on a long journey I keep my attention by doing anagrams of car number plates that pass by thus I'm very interested in personal plates. One of the best I've seen was on the M6 northbound and I think Arsenal were the visitors to the Turf. It was a sporty looking Merc with a red and white Goone...

Hats off to Mr Pace. He seems to to be ramming the abuse from the nay sayers back down their throats. He’s starting to show he meant what he said about growing the club, let’s hope he’s done enough to convince SD to sign a long contract.

I think Dwight is on Villa’s radar as he can give Grealish more service than the current Villa line up. If Grealish goes, the Villa spotlight may well come off Dwight. Personally, I’m most worried about Nick going to Spurs. We were extremely fortunate to have a world class keeper covering for a worl...

I agree with the OP. I’m glad we are in the Prem for the money but, for me, VAR is killing the game. I much prefer watching the Championship refs making mistakes in real time, than some giffer at Shockley Park eviscerating the game in hindsight. Keep goal line technology but bin the rest.

These last two games really could come back to bite us. If Fulham beat Sheff U tonight, they're 6 points behind us. They have Palace next week while we go to Spurs. Combine that with 18(?) goals all season and I can certainly see cause for concern at least I think Brighton and, especially, Newcastl...

Unfortunately that is the attitude that is ruining football. I don't blame anyone, just the Premier League which will, if left to its own devices, destroy football. I couldn’t agree more. Until we have enough points to put us beyond any chance of relegation then I won’t be taking anything for granted. Personally I couldn’t give a dead ratsass about the cups, they are irrelevant to us. So is he right, or is he (as some will assert) sending out a message? He’s using the limited assets at his disposal and if a message is seen and understood by the owners, then fair enough. We need 9 points out of the next 3 games, so fielding a second string team tonight was the right thing to do. If we got millions from a cup run then fair enough but we don’t. At last; we are starting to see good quality players from the youth squads moving up on a regular basis. Things are certainly clicking into place at BFC, all we need now is a minted investor with the future of Burnley FC in mind. Happy days.
