Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Comparions between Tella and Adams are silly. They play different roles. Adams would be the hold up player in the Barnes /Jay role and tella played more of a hybrid winger / inside forward type role. I doubt the signing of 1 position would have a large bearing on the other for anything other than bu...

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I don’t think VK will be looking to ship out our most experienced defender, even if he isn’t a starter him being around is worth his wage. I’d also think it made more sense for Charlie to give it six months and be able to negotiate a free transfer from a Premier League position. Other than an offer...

The Chesterfield Cafu! Served us well and did a very good job for a number of years.
Fantastic value for money and sad it had to come to and end like it did but hope he finds a new club and shows what he can do.
Another player that got what the club means to the fans

If you had asked me after about 10 games then I would have said I didn't think Muric was good enough to play professionally never mind in the EPL! By the end of the season however he was making great saves, commanding his area and looking like a quality keeper as well as looking ridiculously assured...

He's started a total of 15 league games in the last three seasons For a Liverpool team who for 2 of the past 3 years have been playing incredible football with a reasonably settled first 11. How many games has Hebden in the squad for? That may give a more realistic view of his fitness maybe? Also y...

As I said. Life’s too short to be hating on Burnley players. Especially after the season we’ve just had. Sorry, DC, they all represented Burnley......and that's all that matters. But it's the identification of the likes of Len Kinsella and Ray Deakin, the most most committed of all players, that particularly wrankles......there really is no need. So by your reasoning United fans should like Greenwood ...

It is many moons since I was in Nelson but in the 60s (as a youngster I hasten to add) often went past Seedhill and it looked a decent ground for that era and my Dad told me that Nelson were once a 2nd division club. I presume it has gone now as I never hear of a Nelson football team anymore. Can a...

Any player playing for Burnley gets my support. Same here. I would still support Wout in the unlikely eve...

The favourite Burnley 11 thread got me also thinking about those players that for whatever reason I just never took to or did something to make me dislike them. This is really difficult. I want to put about 9 forward players in there! The Belgian John Barnes.
He was the master of that goal drifting in from the left, using the defender as a shield and bending into the far top bins.
Benson is just unplayable at times. Is that 7 times now this season he has scored that goal?

Just a slight tweak on what we sang in the European season would do for me.
In 1987 they thought that we were dead
Staying down forever is what the bastards said
We won the league at Ewood
Now everywhere we go
We'll sing this song forever to always let them know
Allez allez allez....

Can't mark tonight. But he was not good. Should have been a penalty a piece and at least 1 rover (Travis I think) should have walked.
