Re: England’s Number 1

If kicking is Pope's weak area then surely it is an area that can be concentrated on in training.

As long as he keeps performing like he has. Brilliant saves, claiming high balls, positioning, control of the area. We have been blessed with goalkeeping excellence over the last few years.

The weather will have a big influence on tomorrow's events.

A nice day would mean that pub outdoor areas could accommodate further punters.

I believe that the weather is unfavorable.

I'm not sure that cricket via media is helping me.

Been watching a recording of Ben Stokes batting with the chap with glasses at Headingley in the Ashes. Incredible.

Now I just want some form of live local cricket.

I inherited a big tabby cat who was living under my Dad's car. He had 3 cats of his own and they did not get on.

I had the cat for 17 years.

Vowed not to get another.

I now have a 2 year old tortoise shell who was in need of a home.

Thompson's looping effort at Reading in the 2nd leg of the play-offs.

This was only moments after Martin Paterson scored that stunning strike with his wrong foot.

Wembley beckoned and then Wade Elliot had that run, the ball broke for him and he steered it into the top corner.

Joy.

Absolutely gutted. As with the football, for me and many others it is not just about the match. It is a way of life which has suddenly ended. Hope you are keeping well. I think you are right about 8,000 terrace capacity. A total of around 7,000 seats in the other 2 stands.

Always being a progressive forward thinking club we were self isolating way before it was necessary or even thought about. Apart from a few mentalists up at the top of the Longside, Social Distancing was far from being a problem at the Turf in those days. Me, my Dad and a couple of random blokes ha...

No, it was Lord trying to get money into a bankrupt club which he'd all but destroyed. There was a point in time when our capacity went down to around 8,000. I think that's when we split the Bee Hole and Longside with a fence from top to bottom. The 8,000 capacity seems a bit strange when the offic...

Re-roofing the CFS is surely not an option? The rear wall is buckling and cracks are plainly evident. I'm surprised that we get a safety certificate. It would be bonkers to try and replace the roof. Knock it down and start again. This doesn't need to be a massive project: Single tier, standing room ...
