Not news: https://inews.co.uk/explainers/iq/tottenham-hotspur-white-hart-lane-new-stadium-football/ The retractable pitch was announced about two years ago. Shaun Harvey is absolutely correct; we are taking the p!ss. Forget the fact that many of the big clubs have devalued it over the last 20 years, it's been a joke of a competition for longer than I care to remember. The early rounds have been regionalised then nationalised and then regionalised again....

Surely the point of a LBGTQ Clarets club is to encourage those people who have had bad experiences at Turf Moor (or wherever) not to give up watching but to seek solace in the fact they’re not on their own. It doesn’t need to have an agenda to promote; if its sole purpose is to allow like-minded Bur...

I do this in London because the hard water develops a scummy film as the tea is brewing. For some reason, adding the milk before removing the tea-bag seems to draw the film onto the bag as it's subsequently being removed.

Great OP with one exception, and that's the suggestion that Frank Casper's reign was among the worst in BFC's history. With a budget that was two thirds of f-all, he made steady progress following on from Brian Miller, eventually getting us to the 1991 play-offs. Admittedly, the start to the 1991-92...

Some good advice there from Rileybobs and he's correct that I'm paying VAT at 20% whereas you won't be. Depends where you live, happyclaret. I live in outer London and the cost is generally about £250/sq ft to shell specification which I can corroborate with my current extension which is costing £57,000 to deliver a 225 sq ft floor area. I'm a firm advocate for safe standing but I don't see how the German examples help our cause in this country. There is a clear incentive in converting to standing in Germany because it increases the capacity (e.g. from 65,829 to 81,360 at Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund) and therefore allows clubs to ma...
