Re: I feel something really special is developing…
I admit I was a bit disappointed to see Ramsey starting. I thought he'd looked a bit lightweight. I was completely wrong. He looks a real talent. Then Bruun Larsen came on and also looked really sharp. This squad just keeps giving us new and fabulous talents. We are yet to see Odobert. Odobert came...

TBF, United were happy to let us have the ball, and we didn't do much with it in the second half. We need to take our chances when we're on top.

I can't really remember Vinny sending a team out without a biggish physical striker up front. That wasn’t a flawless performance but it was a very decent performance that showed a template for the future. Lots to work on but clearly very, very unlucky that an exceptionally poor decision denied us the opportunity for a first win. Trafford – 6 – Absolutely no chance with the goal, a couple of...

Another good interview on Radio Lancs last night. Really doesn’t spare any details. It seems the 25 man squad is in and we’ve left a player out who might be on his way to Turkey - doesn’t say who. Also confirms we can no longer sign any free agents. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0g9dkjn?partne...

Cullen as defensive midfield and Gudmondsson as central midfield would look better. And the distinction between left centre back and right centre back is a bit bogus, because most centre backs can do either with little drop-off. JBG has played wide right in all his appearances this season so far.

Excellent article today in the Athletic summarising the summer window. Andy shares a few ‘inside’ details on a few things. Very interesting on Tella, Saints were initially ready to do a deal at 8-10m but then not long after the valuation changed to 18-20m. Burnley made a final offer of 14m which wa...

Fascinating clip from Ben fosters podcast, at West brom in 2012 he was on 40k a week, 1 million signing on fee paid in 4 installments every September. Appearance fee of 6k per game and a win bonus of 12k per win. Upon relegation his wage would drop to 25k a week. https://youtu.be/c-PQsrRDNPE?si=FTeL...
