Is this the same Kevin Long-been with us over 13 years and averaged 5 league starts a season and on numerous occasions not even made the bench. If he was that good why has no other club tried to buy him in that long period. He may have played for Ireland but had Davies been from Ireland I am pretty...

I've heard it all now-Kevin Long better than Steve Davies. Thats made my Christmas. I love this Board. Davies scored more goals than Kevin Long has started games for us Kevin Long has played at a higher level and has won a number of caps for his country. It’s hardly an outlandish claim that he’s a ...

Re: Should BPF keep his place.
I’ve been pretty vocal about Muric, but I wouldn’t drop him for BPF in the league. There’s no need to rock the boat, we’re dominating the division as it is. Also, BPF isn’t going to be our number one if we’re promoted so I don’t think this serves much purpose. That said he had a very fine game last ...

Do you think there are more teams in the PL who play the style of football SU played against us (lump crosses and long throws into the box at every opportunity) than there are in the Championship, or fewer? Not sure that’s a particularly fair question. For starters, Sheffield United are likely to b...

Re: January transfer window rumours.
Next season we may change our tactics, but first we need to get promoted. Half a season to go and some people are predicting our shortcomings in a league which we are not in. We have half a season in which to further improve, and hopefully stay on track to go up. Correct. But our transfer strategy ...

We’re not at next season yet. Pointless discussion. Currently talking about January transfer window and our keeper being replaced, which is just daft considering he’s been a key cog in Kompany’s system. I also disagree that most understand what he brings to the team. As an example, one poster sugge...

Exactly this, Muric is the new breed of keeper. The ability to play football ranks as highly as having the ability to be a keeper. It's a new way of playing the game. Pope was an excellent keeper and nobody questions his shot stopping is far better than muric, but we wouldnt be building from the ba...

Or that he’s a defender for a relegation threatened poor team That doesn’t seem to have got in the way of Coady or Mings. There’s a very good chance that Southgate just didn’t fancy Tarkowski for footballing reasons - although many would agree that he’s a better player than Coady and Mings. So ther...

So if the ball had been beneath the bar, you would have rather he just left it and we go 3-2 with a fair bit of time to play? Had he handled it, it would have been a gamble that paid off since they missed the penalty and a one game ban isn't the end of the world. I'm not alone in thinking that it w...

We’ll be able to attract better players in 6 months time so I wouldn’t be too bothered about strengthening in January, unless an opportunity arises for a player who we think will make the step up to the PL, or if a loan player is recalled.

Would a mandatory wage reduction on relegation not make it even more difficult for the lesser clubs to attract decent players? I’m not saying it’s not a good idea, I just wonder whether it will just increase the gap between the top clubs and the rest.

1-1 2-1 He took Saka the player of the match, the player who was causing all the problems. The double substitution was a reaction to going behind with just 12 minutes of the game remaining. The fact that Barnes, Taylor, and Roberts aren't first choices, and that Lowton and Long don't even make the bench is very telling.
