Rosegrove cabaret club had some fine acts in their time and then had gambling upstairs. Roulette I think.
It later converted to a two screen cinema.

What a brilliant piece of history! I would contact Ray Simpson to tell him about it as your diaries document a fascinating period. Pretty similar stuff on offer from the Clarets today.
Some very poor performances today. Fair play to Lincoln.
They battled and scrapped and did well for their win

I remember him on Saturday Club in the sixties when he regularly had the Beatles on.

Rowland White's, Into The Black, about building the Space Shuttle and about how its first flight nearly ended in disaster is a good read. Same as Vulcan 607 by the same author.
