Great to see you yesterday - looking in great shape. Hope you had a bit more luck with the trains home than you did on the way up! See you soon.

Cirencester is OK. And Malmesbury. Cheltenham good for shopping and Gloucester Dock area the kids used to enjoy. My favourite bit of Bath was always Batheaston/bathhampton toll. It got you through to the other side and the A36 without the dreadful traffic queues and there's a nice pub on the south ...

Just been to Bath. Nice place. Roman baths are worth a look around although pretty expensive at £25 a head. The Thermae Spa is apparently great. It was booked miles in advance when we went so can’t give you an experience but the mass booking suggests it’s decent. Had a few beers at The Raven which d...

White is really good but he’s a defender, 23, and has one season’s experience at the top level. Granted he’s got an England cap but what does that put McNeil’s value at?

You prioritise the player you can sign, not always the positions you need. Of course we need a centre back and a couple of wide players. But if a top drawer centre forward became available within our budget, do you think we wouldn’t do it just because we need a midfielder? No chance. If we’ve recogn...

Player of the tournament, really? I personally think Phillips has been as good for England as anyone, but the player of the tournament doesn't have to be English. Phillips was great in the first game, and in the second half last night. He was dreadful in the other games. He’s bang average. Sterling...

A strange one but it was the first time I thought we were serious promotion material: Forest at home. Forest were doing pretty well and everyone thought it was gonna be a tough one. Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread

Why put all the blame on the centre halves when centre mid was such an obvious problem on the goal? Because they backed off so far they might as well have been sat on the front row of the Jimmy Mac. Tarky’s attempt at a block was borderline embarrassing. The centre mids aren’t good either of course...
