I'd take McNeil off. He has been dreadful and sloppy.
Bring on Stephens..3 in the middle with Cornet and Lennon either side of Wood.

I got pelters for saying we were crap against Utd. Today we started ok but then just kept giving the ball away. Topped of by Tarks losing it and the goal. Dennis taken off at HT in their game against Spurs, it would be the ultimate irony if he missed a few weeks through injury now wouldn't it. Merson on Sky was saying he didn't look injured and was playing ok. Seemed to suggest there may have been issues at HT in the dressing room. Perhaps he isn't b...

Is it a lack of skill though? Many of these players have shown they are more than capable or else they wouldn't be there. There is a massive lack of belief and mental fortitude in this team and i'd say half of what makes up any sportsperson is the mental side of things. You can be a world beater but...

Root’s interview there just sums it up “we’ve had good pockets”……no Joe, it’s been an utter shambles! Just say what you see, admit it’s terrible and maybe we can start to move forward. The bit where he said we needed to learn from this (yet again) irked me the most. How many lessons do they need be...

England have scored less in a test innings, but in the context of the match this has been a meek surrender. And take Root's 28 out and it would have been even worse. If this isn't a wake-up call to the ECB then nothing will rouse them. Indeed. There have been worst scores but the complete lack of b...

I'd say it is a shambolic...but words can't describe this. Folding like a pack of cards.
The whole team besides Root and Anderson need sacking off.

The correct decision despite the difficulties. Surely it is best to get as many games played as we can to avoid the inevitable fixture pile up later. Think Lowerhouse need to blood some younger players sooner rather than later or they could be in trouble in a year of two. Blez, Frankie, Finchy etc can't go on forever contributing.
