Footy club nicknamed The Imps after a stone sculpture of one such on the cathedral. Legend is that a real imp was sent to Lincoln to do mischief but was turned into stone by an angel.
Seems a plausible story- I'm sure Lincolnshire was full of imps and angels back in times of yore.

I was just looking at the latest various transfer odds on SkyBet & noticed Ashley Westwood had appeared on there. Only 2 sets of odds are quoted: stay at Villa 9/4; go to Burnley 1/3.
