Re: Name the next manager
I’ll have been for Micky Phelan. Sen Dyche I remembered as a good centre half who I hated us playing against (but wish we’d sign) but I knew nothing of him as a manager other than he did a stint with the England Under21 (or 23) setup.

Jenkins is an ALK man - doubt he’ll be going anywhere, quite often when people like that screw up they get a promotion to get them out of the way. Kompany has a less than fifty percent win rate as a manager so far - not bad but not great and not the sort of rate required for promotion from the championship, unless via the play offs. Lots of factors excluded from such a high level view, of course. I’ve read on here that he’s faced various chal...

Think it is extremely likely he we move back to the Premier this close season, but it may be that he is willing to give it a year to see if we can bounce back before the next international tournament. Obviously Pope would be major plus for any incoming manager.

The theory, and who knows how accurate it is, is that ALK/VSL expected to fairly quickly turn over more shares and get additional investment. I suppose the optimistic view is that if he's going to announce a manager in the next couple of days, now wouldn't be the time to speak. McNiel’s major downfall is that he switches off out of possession. It made us soft defending the left….
