Worst Reffed NFL Play-off Game Ever

Seahawks vs. Lions. Where did they get these guys? Supposed to be an all-star crew, but they couldn't even get the illegal block-in-the-back on the first Detroit punt right. The first time a punting team has EVER been penalized for an illegal block. It defies definition. Then, they couldn't decide w...

Providing we win the replay, there's a good chance we'll be against Bristol City at home in the next round of the FA Cup. Anybody fancy that? I know that my Gas-supporting friend in Bristol would be cheering for us.

Re: It's Gonna Be a Classic

NFL success is a finely tuned thing. You need a balance of savvy veterans and hot-shot rookies. The veterans run the clubhouse and keep the rookies under control. That's why the closest thing to a dynasty recently have been the Patriots. Tom Brady is the lord and master, Belichick is the resident ge...

When I was about 5 years old, the Browns were wining everything with Jim Brown at running back, and Paul Brown coaching. They also had Lou "The Toe" Grozza place kicking.

Re: It's Gonna Be a Classic

When you say "The Browns", you have to differentiate between the present Browns, and the old Browns, which are the Baltimore Ravens. Art Modell, the Browns' owner back in the '80s, decided he wasn't making enough money, (and his non-football interests were going bankrupt), so he engineered a move to...

Johnny Football has left this planet. Sad case, that. He was over-hyped, and got to believe his press clippings. Playing at Texas A&M, who play in a $480 million stadium (remember, this is COLLEGE football), didn't help, either.

A big part of Cleveland's problem was that they went too young. Turned over more than half their team from last year. RG3 has finally matured, so I look for bigger and better things from them next year. (I used to be a fan of the old Browns, the present day Ravens.)

Dallas has real questions in their defence, and so do the Pack. Raiders are down to their 3rd string QB, but Houston has problems at QB, too. If I was to take a dark horse, it would be the Steelers. Don't think that this is a new idea. It was first proposed by Milton Friedman, a very, very conservative economist at the University of Chicago back in the '50s. It discourages innovation and individual enterprise, and would be a bad thing for the economy.

I thought that a big part of his problem is that he has to work with an immobile target in Sam Vokes. I think that Vokes has been our biggest disappointment this year and that soon he deserves to lose his spot. He did work well with Boyd vs. Bournemouth, though.

Have to agree with KRBFC. We can't complete two passes in a row, usually, and when we do, it ends up on the foot of Matt Lowton, and, well, we all know what happens then. I thought that yesterday's game cried out for Defour, since they lacked pace up front, and with Defour there's actually a good ch...
