Yep - it's the small details like that, that separate the good and the great players.

He definitely has a good long range pass on him but absolutely not suited to playing out through the lines with the sort of short & intricate passing/receiving ball skills needed.

I agree it's harsh but I don't think it's unfair. I think he's woefully short at this level and showed it again against Chelsea. We can get away with him out wide but I think its very difficult for us to ever keep a clean sheet if he plays at full back. And for the comment about him creating chance...

Still think his future in the PL is either a RCB in a 3 or as a fullback, one that probably comes into midfield.

I certainly wouldn't be writing him off but O'Shea and Esteve really are looking like a good partnership.

Esteve has impressed me the last two games - looks to have formed a good partnership with O'Shea and Muric and settled into it.
