Why do we always compare the men & women’s game and say the women’s game isn’t upto the men’s standard? Do you go to and u13s Sunday league game and say “well it’s not as good as Man City v Arsenal”? It’s a different product. It’s not meant to be comparable People go and tend to treat the decisions...

The Sports pages of all newspapers are all worth reading for links and rumours, but only up to a point I'd be amazed if we've dropped out interest in Tella, but we will have other targets, and its perfectly possible that Southampton holding out for a bigger fee could result in us getting one of the ...

The worst thing we did with British cities is the plonking of dual carriageways into the hearts of our cities and building giant shopping centres over the top of victorian streets. A single stinking concrete building can be knocked down and replaced by a beautiful one. But when you've knocked down ...

Cynical me is pretty sure that Chelsea will play Maatsen as often as possible till he signs a new contract, then he'll be loaned out Its up to Maatsen really - he probably needs to leave to guarantee first team football and he's still a very young player with his entire career ahead of him, so you'd...

The reward is probably the fact that (IF we got relegated) the likes of Amdouni, Trafford, Beyer (not to mention Zaroury, Benson, Al-Dakhil and others) will wipe the risk out with their transfer value. It's gutsy - and was terrifying when we last got relegated, to me - but we know the strategy work...

You really do have to question what our budget this summer is at this point. It's now clear we're still very actively trying to sign Tella and Maatsen permanently (one would assume that's about £25m as a minimum). We clearly still want at least one centre mid on top of that. We have already signed:...
