Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Potentially but there have been at least two occasions when announcements of new signings this summer have come a couple of days after the player has actually signed. Scott Twine was the first, announced on a Sunday but the interview he did referred to the previous Thursday as yesterday. It was the...

To answer the thread question - not in the slightest. A few weeks ago I might have said something different but the closer we've got to the start of the season, the less confident I've become. Was always going to be a summer of change, but I think it's been way too much of a turnover. Fully expected...

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
They never came out and said he wasn’t for sale and the player was clearly gagging for the pay rise or he’d have signed a new deal at Coventry. The statements in their local media said something like “The deal is dead for now”. He’s the player Kompany wants in that position, I can absolutely see us...

Let’s assume he has gone, along with Cornet, for an estimated £40m combined (top side and no doubt in instalments). Who are we buying to replace them? We need four players in the attacking areas in for that by my book. I think it’s highly likely Callum O’Hare and Manuel Benson are going to be two o...

I can't imagine Everton are going to spend more than 15m on McNeil, which IMO would be terrible business considering the likes of Lewis-Potter have been sold for 20m+ I like Dwight and would much prefer him to stay. But wasn't it zero goals and one assist last season (and plenty of below par perfor...

I'd say for any of these young players we are signing - don't get too attached to them. I'd say virtually all of them will have release clauses in their contracts which end up being considerably lower than we think it should be. It's the ALK model isn't it? Sign for cheap(ish) and aim for a smallish...

As usual, the answer is somewhere in the middle.
World beater? Of course not. Capable of doing a decent job for us next season, particular with us now in the Championship? I'm pretty confident that's a yes

Taylor has had some shockers in the last few weeks. Didn't have the best of seasons, far from on his own there though. I think he'd be very good in the Championship though and agree with the suggestion above that Roberts Collins Mee Taylor would have the look of a very good back four for that level.

It's worth noting we generally show up when it matters on the crunch final day clashes. Won the title at Maine Road 1960. Got the point needed at PNE in 1973 to clinch the 2nd Division title. Beat Orient in 1987 when the stakes were far higher than Sunday. Beat Plymouth in a relegation decider in 1...

Not quite as over the top as Lampard & Derby three years ago. You’d have thought they’d won the Champions League that night. Then they lost the final.
