The diving and play-acting is the thing that's ruining it for me. It can be difficult for refs and VAR to distinguish between a dive and a genuine foul - the slo-mo VAR replay doesn't always help the situation so banning a player for diving would be a massive subjective grey area. Whatever the angle of impact or how much the Armco has absorbed, the team recorded 53G on impact. That's a hell of figure and he's very lucky not to have been unconscious which would certainly have had a different outcome.

I was once watching Ashley Barnes warming up before a game with Westwood. They were hitting long balls to each other the full width of the pitch, one touch and fire back. Barnes' first touch, control and accuracy with his cross back was very impressive whereas Westwood was pretty average.
