Re: Is Kev Long off?
He's never complained at his lack of chances and got on with the job when called upon. Clubs, especially like us, need players like Kevin. If he does move on then I wish him the best and hope he makes a lot of appearances somewhere. The alternative backup to the Mee/Tarks partnership was Gibson and ...

Not fussed on this one, experienced yes and has been playing well for Wales but no resale value, well into his 30s and presume on a high wage. Wait and see who we bring in.

Re: Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I'd hope we sell no more than 1 more player. How often do teams bounce back at the first time of asking when having such a huge turnover of players? A tall order if we sell many more IMO. If I had the choice, I'd sell Cornet to move him off the wage bill and reinvest some money into a new forward. A...

Re: Retained List Announced
Out of all of the players released, I am only disappointed by Mee leaving. A fantastic player for Burnley, rightly classed as a legend for us. However, he is starting to show signs of age with various injuries so maybe it isn't such a disaster him leaving. We badly need to reduce the squad's age so ...

Just back from the USA and wow has inflation hit that country. Bonkers prices for petrol, up to about 50% the cost in this country. I can see insurrection over there if it goes any higher. They like their V8s and paying very little for their gas. Freeways are still full though. Returned home from N...

Re: ARTICLE: Barnes extends Burnley stay
With the size of the squad reaching desperate levels by the looks of it, I am not hugely against keeping Barnes as a back up. We certainly need an Andre Gray type headline signing up front now, as if we didn't before though as we clearly haven't got that 20 goal a season striker we'll need to have a...

Re: Wout Weghorst
Really disappointed with his comments. I have stuck up for him, until now. Perhaps if he had done what he was paid well to do, which is actually score a few goals, we wouldn't be in the Championship. At least Cornet and Pope (so far!) haven't thrown any toys from the pram, and the pair of them have ...

Re: Wout Weghorst
I think he's a decent player who has struggled a bit to adapt to the Premier League pace, and clearly lost confidence with lack of service. If he stays and providing we improve our creativeness, I can see him scoring a decent amount of goals in the Championship. Probably needs some alongside him wit...

Feeling okay this morning, what will be will be. Excited to see who the new manager will be, finally some new signings (we have to make some this time!), and a couple of new grounds to visit. As been said above, its felt like a slow death over the last 18-24 months so not too much of a shock.
