Re: Burnley and Blackburn Accents
Ours isn’t a traditional Lancashire accent, we’ve got quite a bit of Yorkshire in it such as having ‘us tea’ and we don’t have herr on our heads or catch buzzes as they do in many parts of our county. Yes its a buzz in Rossendale. Even in Rossendale the accents vary in the various towns. Many Manc ...

Re: Burnley and Blackburn Accents
Well years ago people didn't travel out of their towns and villages for work as they do now and so the different accents or dialects evolved. There was an influx of mainly Irish immigrants into East Lancashire in the mid 1800's (and since) and and some of their word sounds were incorporated into the...

I must admit I don’t know if I buy the whole “took us into Europe” stuff. He took us to the qualifying round and in typical Sean Dyche fashion couldn’t break down weaker opposition who sat behind the ball (Aberdeen) and when we squeaked through, leading into the most important game to take us into ...

Not writing them off as a bottom half team. Just saying what I saw yesterday. The likes of Caicedo and Enzo didn't have to have good games. There was no midfield for them to compete against. It was a total stroll for much of that game and that can't be excused surely. Sterling hasn't played that we...

What VK probably should aim for is a settled defence. I think we haven't played the same defence twice. He is tactically not completely there yet but will be I'm sure.

Top and bottom for me is:- first we need a settled back four. Beyer and Eckdal, for now Taylor at left back and a new right back. A tough strong midfield player. Help for Foster up front.

Last seasons team needed keeping together with two or three really good PL quality signings in key areas Ie CM, LB and CB. What we’ve got is a weaker team with lots of young promising players. Far too inexperienced a team for this level. We don’t look anywhere near good enough and weaker than any P...

Is this the same Sean Dyche that had Ashley Barnes backing into defenders trying to "win" free kicks every game? Some people have very short memories. We used to try and win free kicks all the time. This added to VAR is or has ruined the game at top level. I notice after Liverpools disallowed goal there has been an apology and some sackings at Stockley Park. Yes in my newspaper. Three columns. One sentence about Burnley, but it was good. It said Burnley were excellent in spells. Then all United, who I thought were poor given the fortune they have spent and fortunate to collect all three points.
