94/95 season ……. we beat them 5-1 at Turf with John Gayle scoring an implausible overhead kick.

I went down there for the return fixture where I think Kurt Nogan scored his first goal for us. I seem to remember us being 2-0 down very early on.

Some absolute ******** spoken on here about Maatsen’s defensive qualities.

For his age his level is fantastic. The defensive stuff can be drilled in quite quickly if need be. Less so his attacking ability.

Just watched yesterday’s goal back again and the root cause of it is Harwood-Bellis coming miles for a header and not winning it.

That’s happened at least a couple of times this season for goals.

Just to add here.

Charlie Taylor is a really solid, Premier League level full back. He just isn’t suitable for a Vincent Kompany team.

Ian Maatsen is a very good player. I don’t think he would be nearly as good in a Sean Dyche team though.
