That's a misleading comment. His brother says that our guy won't be fit for the October and November international breaks. Next year refers to first break in 2024 i.e. he won't be fit to play for Sweden until 2024.

Penalty clauses aren't allowed in most contracts. You can have liquidated damage clauses, however these need to be a genuine pre-estimate of the loss that will be incurred as a result of the delayed completion. Tough one, but Philips, because he is an excellent holding cm and can play cb. However, I could also see THB in both roles. As for left back, I still live in hope of a IM loan.
