Re: Taylor v Pieters

Just because Pieters is good for a couple more assists as season doesn't mean he's better 'going forward' especially when a couple of them where balls from the half way line. Going forwards is about the link play for which McTaylor is Better than McPieters.

When he's not next to one of Mee or Tarkowski you truly see what positionally inept , slow, marauding lump he really is. Simply not good enough if we want to move forward, which we seem incapable of doing.

Id be very tempted to put Cork in for one of the strikers against Liverpool and go with Jay upfront on his own, let Westwood and Brownhill get more involved in attacks or even let the winger sit more forward, plenty of flexibility with a 4-5-1. But it sounds like Dyche is going to 'stick to his phil...

Re: Are our players improving their technical ATTACKING skills?

I mean Charlie Taylor is not exactly an attacking threat. In roughly 70 games he has managed 0 goals and 3 assists. For comparison Matthew lowton in 93 games has managed 0 goals and 6 assists. If we are being honest we need to improve our attacking output all over the pitch. Brownhill is particular...

Re: Are our players improving their technical ATTACKING skills?

The only way we can improve our attacking ability is improving the starting 11, no-one in our teams midfield and attack is irreplaceable and there are better players out there to get. We need to be looking at players with more composure on the ball who can carry it forward instead of panicking and l...

I think people are forgetting that Cork, Stephens, Gudmundsson, Bardsley , Norris and even Pieters haven't played much football recently and Barnes had Wood have been out of form which was on show today. How Benson can be criticised when he actualy brought some energy in the middle is beyond me.

Wood on his day is a good striker and he has the goal record to prove it but lately his missed too many of those 'bread and butter' headers. Barnes on the other hand has no technical ability and never fills me with any confidence that he will score with the ball at his feet.
