The home 0-0 with Liverpool. Both teams went on to be Champions. Colin Waldron’s wonderful volley could have won it for us. Although we lost 3-0 I enjoyed the replay, we gave them a game. Steve Kindon was the most exciting Burnley player I ever saw. He was not the best but was certainly the most exciting and fastest. I have never seen anybody quicker... but for Skippy, power, strength and speed was about it.....but it was brilliant to watch and often enough to open up the opposition.

Not the last one we had, but the fastest of the lot must have been John Francis. I remember him winning lots of sprints on ITV Football (either On The Ball or Saint and Greavsie). Good read. Thinking back did many Burnley fans think promotion was possible/likely? We finished the previous season really strongly with 6 wins on the bounce. The team was really settled and Dobson imperious. I really thought they'd go well but in truth it's so long ago....... i can't remember lol

Players come, players go...managers have to evolve a team. I'm sure Hendrick was planning to run down his contract but expected a whack for playing beyond June for 7 more games...having had 3 months off. I can't believe Dyche seriously expected the chairman to rubber stamp keeping all those players ...

I doubt it...I'm a driver and a cyclist. It's the non cycling drivers that keep bleating "we pay road tax" now they really do shout the loudest! For the record I'd pay that bit extra on ins. And tax.
