Happy Birthday Tony, can't tell you how I've missed my days on the Turf and bumping into people such as yourself.

The home 0-0 with Liverpool. Both teams went on to be Champions. Colin Waldron’s wonderful volley could have won it for us. Although we lost 3-0 I enjoyed the replay, we gave them a game. This is one that sprang immediately into my mind....a packed Turf, Scousers everywhere...brilliant atmosphere. ...

Steve Kindon was the most exciting Burnley player I ever saw. He was not the best but was certainly the most exciting and fastest. I have never seen anybody quicker... but for Skippy, power, strength and speed was about it.....but it was brilliant to watch and often enough to open up the opposition.

Not the last one we had, but the fastest of the lot must have been John Francis. I remember him winning lots of sprints on ITV Football (either On The Ball or Saint and Greavsie). When we signed him it looked for a while as if we were going to miss out to Hull. Although he left at the end of July, Steve Bruce was the manager who initially tried to set up the deal. He’s said today that he’s got him four years later because Hull couldn’t afford him then. He's going to have to ...
