I'm surprised no one has mentioned possibly the best two:-
Peter Noble and Keith Newton
Noble had been plying his trade in Divisions 2 & 3 before stepping back up to the top flight.
Newton had already been mentioned.

The BBC app has women’s football listed before everything bar the PL. Why do they think anyone really cares that much. The level is way below even National League.
For me, It's way below Sunday league standard.

I refuse to watch any women's football and also, I do not click onto any report on the BBC Sport website, or any site for that matter.

Noticed that Blackpool were still in the top flight at this point. At what stage did they cease to be a "force" in English football?
When Matthews went back to Stoke.

My dad wouldn't take me on that Boxing day game; I cried like a baby all day.
Mind you; I was a baby; I was 8 days old.

Maybe the Mike Garlick Cricketfield Stand if he opts to redevelop it, or the current Bob Lord. Suppose it will then put to bed the accusations he was actually in it for the money, and the last few failed windows have been a result of that. I'm sure that's a tongue-in-cheek suggestion. But if you we...

From the army also.... not boxing tho.... more due to the fact I was always attempting to entertain the ladies. I was more successful than my looks suggested I should have been. Names Bobby, hence Bobby dazzler, and the lads used to ask “did she get dazzled then?” But did you ever entertain t...

Day tripper for me too Dazzler.... Incidentally, I am also known as the dazzler.... What's the story with that? Mine stems from when I was in the Army. I boxed for my regiment; I won a fight where I was pretty much the underdog but won quite comfortably. One pal commented "that was a right Bobby Daz...

Went to see Big Country at The Mechanics about 12 years ago, minus Stuart of course.
Tony & Bruce sharing the vocals duties.
They were fantastic.

I've been listening to Big Country tonight in memory of Stuart Adamson. Got every Album, apart from the last one, not really got a favourite, but if I had a gun at my head I'd probably say the "Steeltown" Album. Back in 1980's I believe was a player called Regis? I was in my teens, I remember my dad saying it was a " big thing" for us at the time.
Did not quite grasp what he meant at the time.
Robert Regis
