Recall Kevin Young having an excellent game against Newcastle at home on Boxing Day 1978 or 79. Won 3-2 with Billy Hamilton scoring a great header at the Beehole End to open the scoring. He joined Bury with Frank Casper and Dobbo in charge and they beat us 5-3 in a league Cup tie at Gigg Lane( was i...

Re: REPORT: Four more goals for Chelsea as they win again at the Turf
Couldn't see any game plan yesterday. And our inability to get the ball away at goal kicks and retain possession was both farcical and wholly inadequate. Might have helped if Trafford didn't keep passing the ball to his team mates heels instead of in front of them.

A shocking response by Spurs to the previous week's defeat at White Hart Lane. Couldn't have taken long to come up with the tactics they employed. At all costs stop Casper and that's what they did. Is Westley the son of the former Preston manager? He certainly seems to know where the net is just like Mellon at Morecambe. Sounds as though Lewis Richardson is fulfilling promise too. That's 3 young footballers heading in the right direction seemingly. All very good news for the club.

Perhaps the worst defeat I've seen for a long time. The 20 mins. or so either side of half time were appalling. They looked like they would score every time they attacked. Our passing was poor and ball retention even worse. 2-5 and a proper mauling.
