I’m yet to see a game where I think he’s been as great as many of his plaudits suggest. Great goals, flashes of real potential but not yet a wow he really is that good performance.

I’ll get pelters for this, but can only judge on what I’ve seen so far.

Shilton retired earlier than that. South all played later - I think he was coaching at Bradford City and was called up due to injuries. I don’t think he played after that, in the league at least.

It was like trying to gain yards until we got to a point where the ball could be thrown into the box.

I was expecting a far more threatening throw - it was more like a big up and over that gives the defence an age to pick up the flight.

Livened up in the second half, by what looked like a black dog poo bag, blowing around in the wind. It was a little reminiscent of the scene from American Beauty. Sadly it blew away and my attention shifted back to the dire display of “football” on show.

We’ll never know but had Wood not been sold, would we have brought no one in? From a before the window to after the window view point, this is what we’ve done, which isn’t good enough.

We’ve not addressed key problems so I can’t see how it can be scored anything above a three, at best.
