Re: The cost of playing out badly

I think this is about the most sensible and reasonable post on this thread. I can’t remember any other mistakes like yesterday. The only passing it out error that immediately springs to mind is the Trafford one to Brownhill, but I’m sure there’s others my coping mechanisms have put in to the deepes...

Re: Post match interviews v Everton

Interesting debate about Kompany and Dyche above, but it is harsh to call Everton a terrible team. They are TOP on expected goals scored from set pieces, near bottom on expected goals conceded. These stats show they do what is needed. Ugly but effective, as ever from Dyche. They would never go down...

It's never a red card that, doesn't deny a goalscoring opportunity, it's just a mistimed tackle, a yellow at worst. It's Oliver though, who consistently makes wrong big decisions because he doesn't give himself time to think about the situation. Proper toaster pocket ref. Certainly not denying a go...

We were the better side in first half. Muric's huge error obviously changed the game, not helped by O'Shea that followed.

They have to or we are royally screwed. I'm caught between being completely baffled how much of a pigs ear they made of it in the summer and having faith in them to bounce back next season. If you don't want to give away a penalty don't raise your arm. Soft pen, but no surprise in today's football. If you don't want to give away a penalty don't rely on the referee and VAR official to get the most basic of decisions correct. It wasn't a soft penalty - it just shouldn't have been a pena...
