Smooth A1 drive down from Bradford, Parked up on a lefy Cockfosters side street, easy journey by tube into Wembley (45m), relatively smooth tube journey back in the car an hour after kick off and back home in time for MOTD2

Not entirely sure that playing Anarchy In The UK over the PA before kick off was the wisest of moves given that the Hanover fans were already pretty wound up before kick off

Liverpool needed a player for now, they have the cash to get someone else for later. We were happy with the left back we already had and were prepared to buy someone who would need time to develop further as they battled to try and take over the number 1 spot from Steven Ward. Seems like a win/win ...
