Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
It'll be a real shame if we don't get to see the best of Collins in claret and blue but I guess if the sale helps to rebuild the team for a promotion push then so be it.

We've kicked the can down the road for a year They cover his wages, we don't have to worry about him for a year, and he gets to play at a level that he wants to and it won't affect his chances of getting in the Dutch team (Wesley Snjeders was at one of the big Turkish clubs for at least a couple of...

He may have been offered a short term contract under the previous management but chose instead to join Rooney at Derby as a player/coach.. with our change of management and the Derby opportunity up in smoke, maybe he's left without options and feels a tadge bitter. I personally think the whole 'Van Gaal World Cup' thing is total ********. Otherwise he could take a short 6 month move somewhere and come back when the WC is over. He clearly just doesn't want to play in the Championship, or take a hit on his wages. There's no way that if Weghorst stayed with us a...

It's a baffling move on his part.. no disrespect to Turkey's league but is it any more high profile than the Championship ?.. surely if his main aim is to stay in Van Gaal's thoughts for the World Cup, it would be much easier to take in a Championship game in the same weekend as a Premier League gam...

It wouldn't surprise me if we were trying to set up a pipeline as such with City. With high sell on fees for players we acquire from them. Maybe way out but wouldn't surprise me 3 or 4 coming in from City for reasonable fees but with 40/50% selling on fees Kompany gets on very well with Arteta too

There's also chatter Collins has a release clause which would take it out of our - and his - hands if someone triggers it. So not remotely the same. Here's one for the barristers on here.. if a bid was made which triggered the release clause, could the player argue that because the management has c...

The clubs that seem to be interested in our players are the ones more likely to be involved in a relegation scrap so that's something players will have to weigh up. I'm hoping VK can have a conversation with Collins, McNeil and Pope akin to the one Scott Parker had with Christie when he chose Bourn...

The way the club's finances are structured suggests that missing out on promotion is not an option. The unenviable task of selling assets who will make promotion more likely doesn't make sense, especially when you're trying to do it with loan players that will probably need replacing once Premier Le...

I hope he does stay and can't imagine any move is going to promote Nick higher than Pickford or Ramsdale in Southgate's eyes. Re: Leeds and Burnley v Everton
Due solely to covid, Newcastle and Villa wrote off £40m and £38m respectively so it's only right that Everton should explain why they wrote off a staggering £170m. More pressing is the explanation why the Premier League seems happy to accept this figure. It smells corrupt and gathering support from ...

I think the worry with Kevin Long stepping in is that when he's been called on before it's always been alongside either Tarks or Mee. One thing amongst others I noticed today was the playing the ball on the floor through the midfield rather than the previous default option of knocking it long.
We looked much better for it.
And the players looked like they enjoyed it too.

The destinies of both BFC and Sean Dyche boil down to the next 11 games. We know what's needed.. nicking draws won't be enough.. we need wins. If SD has ambitions of managing at a more top end Premier League club then the next 11 games will be his curriculum vitae.. Clubs that have been tracking his...

Do agree with this. I always worry when teams let us have possession (it’s obvious) so that we push on and then invariably get done on the turnover. One positive with dropping down a league is that we will have to trim the wage bill which will focus on the need to bring home grown talent through. My argument will always be that it's easier to stay in this league than win promotion to it. We don't need to drop a division to inject some youth int...

The Premier League allowed injuries as well as covid cases to be taken into account when postponing a game.
