Tried it with limited success. Wine was really easy and had reasonable success with that. The beer stank to high heaven, and tasted rank, no matter how many times I sterilised it all. Eventually gave up and used the bucket for cleaning the fish tank instead As a gift you'd have to be sure that he wa...

Also consider appointing a Lasting Power of Attorney. There's 2 types - "Health and Welfare" and "Financial" It costs £82 for each and it's just a few simple forms to complete https://www.gov.uk/power-of-attorney We managed to get one for Mrs C's mum before she lost mental capacity and it makes life...

Re: Rossendale house care home, non footy
Croydon, I'm naive regarding all this malarkey. If you place your house in a trust, does the trust then own the property outright, and should the relationship unexpectedly fall apart, could they boot you out? I'm not a financial advisor but we did receive some advice from a friend who is, but sadly...

Re: Rossendale house care home, non footy
It seems so wrong doesn't it, but another of life's inequalities that if you stay well and healthy and in your home, you keep what you worked your whole life for and wish to pass on to family. Then again the accommodation needs paying for. How on earth do the costs for a care home get so high thoug...

Re: Rossendale house care home, non footy
For those who own houses and hope to pass them on to your children, or whoever, then please pay heed to this. Put your house into trust for your nominated beneficiary as otherwise it could all go towards paying care fees. Mrs Croydon has had to sell her mum's house to pay for care fees. Around £150k...

For those transiting through Euston to Waterloo for the first time it can be quite confusing as there's 2 Northern line branches, each of which go north and south.
You need the Northern Line, Southbound, Charing Cross branch which is platform 2

From Euston I was going to get the Victoria line to Green Park - Piccadilly line to South Ealing. For those who know London, is this a decent route to Brentford? There's been a massive temperature difference between north and south recently, I've even been sat outside in my t shirt this last week.
Feels like it's turning now though
