I still have a feeling that the Genk friendly was an opportunity to allow Tresor to see us up close and try to convince him to join us.
Tresor linked to Fulham in the Belgian press this morning.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.

I was thinking today that we might not be far off done this window, but when you look at the teamsheet today and see that Genk had far more players in their matchday squad, I was wondered if we still might be 3-4 players light.

For all our youth system is criticised for not producing players for our first team, it’s certainly churning out far more players who make decent careers in the EFL than was the case 10 years ago. We’re also starting to command modest fees for players.

I've got no problem with fans booing players that they are unhappy about playing for the club. It's football. It's fans. Personally I've never done it myself although if we had signed Simon Garner or David Dunn back in the day, I would have been sorely tempted. The club only have themselves to blam...

I don’t think Weghorst will be here on 2 September and I won’t be particularly disappointed, but until he goes we should support him (or at least refrain from booing him). It’d be a surprise if we signed any more attacking midfielders/wingers. We’ve now got Zaroury, Benson, Twine, JBG, Redmond and the young Italian to come in. Amdouni also supposedly likes to play no10.

Left back and central midfield would be the priorities for me from here, unless anyone leaves.

Maatsen will be one of a number of targets for his position. He’s probably the preference because he’ll take less bedding in.

No idea, but if we can’t, we won’t stay up for long.

I suspect the average PL wage for a first team player is higher than £40k a week.

If that’s what Trafford will be on and it makes him one of our highest earners, it shows what we’re up against.
