Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Not sure why you think that. Because we are in the Premier League. The new guys will get a significant pay rise by coming here. That there are two of them means the wage bill will have risen, but Wood was reportedly on around £50k a week here, so I'd imagine a 50% net increase with the two new play...

Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Sounds good, but it's not that simple. Wood was probably on lower wages than the incoming two will be, and of course, the fact that there are two of them, probably means three times as much in wages. (Approximately.) £8 million won't last long. I bet Chris Wood's wages were significantly higher tha...

Re: Football Computer Games - licensing, fees etc
I remember Sensible Soccer, and PES on the consoles, but every team and every player was changed.
In FM all the players and grounds are still the same, they have just changed the team name for, as far as I can tell, 2 teams.

Football Computer Games - licensing, fees etc
Playing FM22 recently and I noticed that Manchester United and Juventus are MUTFC and Zebre, there is no proper German or Holland national sides and top division sides don't use badges. I presume this is something to do with licencing, but do individual clubs get money from FM or is just permission?...

Also seems like a sound bloke too - certainly enjoyed the team spirit around the return of Jason Shackell. I thought he was a bit unlucky and that first game of the season at Leeds kinda summed him up - runs himself into the ground for 70 minutes, should have had a penalty, Vokes then replaces him a...

Why would he be interested, he's on course to take Fulham up, and there's every chance they'll be swapping places with Watford in a few months. I genuinely don't understand what Watford's owners expect, for a club of their size they're about where you'd expect them to be, and the revolving door app...

Quick(?) Question - years without playing
Which team have we played in a league game, who are still a league team, that we haven't played in a league game for the longest and how long has it been?
I'm sure there's a better way of wording it....
(I don't know the answer, btw. A mate thinks it is Rochdale and I think someone like Cambridge)

Man City surely, although that was prior to the dodgy money. Newcastle and West Ham also, but Everton and Villa are both founding members, and they are generally considered established PL clubs, just shows how tough even the bigger clubs find it to sustain a place at the top table doesn't it. If we're going to do system or personnel change then there are fewer less pressure games than Arsenal away, certainly compared with trying something different against Watford at home.

Get a grip, would be ludicrous to turn down £25m for Wood. He’s 31 this year and out of contract next summer. We should have took the £35m for Tark when we could, who is now going for nothing. Dale Stephens cost the club £5-6m, Coutinho loan deal cost Aston Villa £4m, Mathias Norman cost Norwich £1.5m, Billy Gilmour cost Norwich £1m maybe? Whilst I get your general point, you can't include the wages when referring to our player and not include them when referring to other teams players.
