Re: Protesting Kids
How much difference does an eco setting make? I don't actually know if my washing machine has an eco setting because we always use the 14-minute setting. In percentage terms, how much less power does a 2-hour or 3-hour eco setting typically use? Why do you use the 14 minute setting? Are you washing...

Re: Protesting Kids
People thinking 'what difference does it make if I do such and such' are part of the problem because virtually everyone thinks like that. I work in the white goods trade and trying to convince people to use the Eco setting on their washers, dryers and dishwashers is like pulling teeth but it really ...

Re: Is home advantage still the same as it once was?
Possibly but if you look at the teams and the form of the teams involved in those nine games, there weren't many surprises. I think most of the results were to be expected anyway. If you look at the fixtures I would imagine that every home team apart from Newcastle would've fancied their chances to...

He's offside when the ball is played, but the ball is then deliberately played by an opposition player, so just like the Mbappe goal for France against Spain the other week, he has to be onside.

May seem like a daft question, but does a team reduced to ten men have one less penalty taker in the shoot out, should it come to it?
I mean if it comes down to the 11th man to take.

Tim Krul's Penalty Save
Maybe it's me, but I thought his penalty save was fine? He was off his line, but only to the same extent that most goalkeepers are when they do or don't make a save. I know it was 5-0 at the time etc, but a different ref in a different competition might make that call at 0-0 or 1-0 to make a differe...

Great lad Tripps. Arsenal wanted him in the Summer but he wasn't having it. Okidoke, I don't disagree and I'm not really making my point clear enough. Re: Offside in Europe
I'm saying that the technology available shows whether or not someone is offside. That the technology is flawed is another issue, that the laws of the game insist on using arm pits as a measure is also another issue, but once the agreed upon lines have been drawn then a player is either offside or n...

I haven't seen them, but I suspect it has more to do with the companies providing the highlights and their own lines and angles. Offside is one of the only rules that is utterly objective within the parameters of the technology available. In order to get offside wrong there has to be an error somewh...

Re: Would former players make good referees?
You've got positional bias as well as partisan or personal bias. A ref that was a striker would be more likely to officiate how he would have liked to have been refereed, likewise a centre half ref will be more inclined to let strong challenges go.
