Indeed but you are less likely to be able to compete with billionaires if you have £80 million quid in the bank and not on the pitch. Again, I don't think that's the case with rape.
It's usually a very difficult crime to prosecute which might mean victim testimony is required to get a conviction, but I don't think a victim has to take the stand if they don't want.
