That kit was just much nicer. Helped by having a sponsor with an inoffensive badge. I don’t mind a betting sponsor if it says “spreadex sport” with a nice simple badge and nobody really notices it’s a betting sponsor. It’s the ones we’ve had previously plastered with Chinese lettering and then some...

I don't really see how it was "clearly going to be more popular than the others".

I'm sure the club think they have produced three "great looking shirts" every season.

I'm not sure how the club could have predicted the demand for this when forecasting using previous season's data.

In my cricket watching life Moeen was one of only six proper all rounders to play for England IMHO. That is someone who could be selected for either batting or bowling on merit if they werent good enough at the other.
