Just listening to the original LP and despite my reservations about the Sex Pistols, it’s a good record with some clever tunes and lyrics. Not the best punk stuff ever - but a great start!

He was a decent player for us but never got up to the form he played later at Villa. If only Bob Lord had seen past his hair and earring. Saw him score a screamer at St Andrews for us. Nice bloke with a ‘bit’ of an affinity with us lot.

Remember having a “Charlie Nicholas” at Eddie Worswicks barbers in Clitheroe in the early 80’s. Ranks in the top 3 worst ever of my life decisions. On a recent topic: Had to stay indoors for weeks. Ruled me out of being a casual for a month or so.

It’s an awfully sad case. I just wish we’d had a tv detective that could have solved the case, they always seem really good. My money would have been on Ironside, Quincy or Morse.

Bumped into him on a service station on an away day early 80’s. A Burnley fan started giving him grief about Diedre. To this day I’m convinced he thought it was Mike Baldwin not Bill Roache.

Was just observing this post but couldn’t let this pass. Just been down to Rubber Soul Records in Hanley today and invested 70 notes on Clash rarities. That 1st LP changed everything for me. The only band that mattered.
