Re: ARTICLE: Cornet remains a Claret after move to West Ham

Trevor Steven was a International pick at the time. Played.a good number of times when the English national side was on its arse.

I'll agree to differ.

The nearest to ‘world class’ players I’ve seen at Turf Moor

Cornet
Defour
Ings
Steven
James

We’ll miss you Max and no other fans will love you more. Good luck and be strong brother ✊🏿👊

I'm unsure that any of the above would be anywhere near 'World Class'.

Re: Local cricket 23/7

The bowlers can get little off the pitch when it is raining. The orange (ish) ball used in T20's has some form of plastic covering. Spinners must have a nightmare when it's wet. Still, the Crompton opening pair were only interested in carting us all over the pitch, which they did with aplomb / alacr...

Lowerhouse got lucky with the weather this afternoon. Crompton got off to a flyer at more than 11 an over from the first 4. Whilst the umpires, groundsmen and players battled on through constant light rain it took a real downpour to signal the end of the second semi and the House live to fight anoth...

I've been lucky enough to play both school and club cricket in the Burnley area from a Junior despite being particularly average at the sport at best. There weren't many schools in Burnley that regularly played cricket during the 80's. Fortunately, I attended a secondary school which was a former gr...

Surely, any proposals for introducing rail seating / safe standing should take place alongside the demolition & rebuilding of the Cricket Field Stand ?

Finance dictates that this is extremely unlikely to take place in the near future.
