Only been privileged to see him once in Roy Keane's testimonial, United v Celtic. He certainly has the quickest feet i've ever seen. Truly a great player, an all time great, but personally I'd take Messi over him as GOAT.

I find it quite staggering that we haven't got one referee representing us at the WC. Come on, we have the best league in the World and our referees are performing in a pressure cooker atmosphere week in week out. Always found McCarthy very down to earth. Think he would have been an ideal choice had we not got SD. I think McCarthy has steadied the ship done a good job at Ipswich keeping them competitive at Championship level.

I thought Tarky had a very sound debut. I'd sooner see him playing on the right side of a back three but he looked very comfortable and composed. I think he did enough to show he belongs at this level.

As always fans, the lifeblood of the game are last considered. No home game for 6 weeks and then the likelihood of 2 within 4 days. Still lets look at the positives, I suppose it's better than the original 12.30 kick off time.

No other explanation as to why our players were either largely or totally ignored back in the days when we had such a superb team. I really do believe that you got selected based on who you played for. And to this day it still really annoys me that Brian O'Neil wasn't capped. Absolutely ridiculous....

Really surprised at Ulvestad's development of lack of opportunity with us. I can remember him playing at Villa Park, last game of the 14/15 season and he was the best player on the pitch in my opinion that day. Thought he was a real prospect.

Agree entirely, it will kill the game as a spectacle. I thought part it's introduction was to eliminate penalties like the one given to Salah. To me this VAR is endorsing players going down at for minimum contact, the very thing its supposed to eradicate.

Been listening to quite a bit of Steely Dan recently and in particular the Gaucho album. For some reason it seemed to pass me by in the 80's when it was released. Also listening to Bowie's Station to Station album. For me his finest and one of the greatest albums of all time.
