Re: ARTICLE: Pope departs the Turf
I dare say that’s the case but we still seem to have rolled over and accepted the first offer on the table. A real air of desperation about this transfer. Who knows? Maybe Pope jumped at the chance of staying in the PL with a club who now have more money than sense. The last thing we need is a play...

I feared the worst when I saw the title of the thread, and sadly I wasn't wrong.
I had many good chats with Barrie when I used to travel with the SC. A really top bloke who was always willing to help, but at the same time, not afraid to speak his mind when he needed to.
RIP Barrie.

Re: ARTICLE: Tarky and Ben
I was just thinking whether Mee and Tarkowski are the best two centre halves I've seen at Burnley. One could certainly make an argument for Keane, and who knows, maybe Collins will go on to be a legend in his own right, but for now, these two will be a hard act to follow. If they'd both stayed fit a...

Fly to New York a week today - I’m delighted about this, takes away a lot of worry! I ensured I had the proof of a negative test before I arrived in New York a few weeks ago. Well, it can't be that he just isn't wanted. Was he on too much money and we just guessed he wouldn't take that much of a cut? It really doesn't make sense to just offer him nothing.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 7:57 pmThat’s how it reads. I can't say I'm thrilled by this news. Even in the championship we need better than a player who just constantly looks for free kicks and falls over whenever he's challenged.
I would hope he'll be a bit part player, just as he has been in the last season or two.
